Finishing Strong

My how the time flies! We have finished our fourth week and have just a few more days of reading left! Its hard to believe we have been here for almost 5 weeks!
The fourth party went well-we shared it with the World Cup. How exciting it is to be in Africa when the world cup is in Africa! Let's just say, they really love the World Cup!

Jessica leaves Sunday to go back to America. Jenny and Bethany are heading to Mbale when Jessica leaves. So continued prayers of safe travel are GREATLY appreciated.

God is here in Uganda, and it is exciting to be a part of His work here.

We love you all and are SOOO thankful for all of your support. We will finish strong. :)
Pictures will be coming when Jessica gets back to the states!

the first week was a SUCCESS!!

Hello everyone! We have finished the first week, and now have already started the second week! What an exciting week it has been! We finished the week with a Hawaiian themed party and had about 60 people! It went GREAT!!! It turns out they love volleyball and limbo!

This weekend we went to a few market places, they were incredible! It is crazy the differences in cultures. We are very blessed indeed.

For those of you who are asking about pictures, thank you for your involvement in our blog and work. Unfortunately, we are using public computers with a time limit and they can be a bit slow, so uploading pictures would be bit too hard. BUT we promise we are taking a ton and would be happy to share them with you when we return, time is flying!

Thank you for all of the prayers.
We love you all very much.

The 3 P's: Preparing, Packing, and Praying

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for visiting our blog! We are SOOOO excited to leave THIS MONDAY!!! AHHHH!!

In these last couple of weeks, we have been finishing school and finishing our team training. Now, it is crunch time.
In the final week before we leave, we are busy preparing, packing, and praying.

Preparing: We are finishing up our lessons, planning and buying supplies for our parties for the Ugandan people, and communicating with our amazing missionaries.

Packing: Well, for the three out of the four team members who are girls, we are looking at the two 50-weight limit luggage restrictions as a challenge that we know we will conquer! Andrew, (the only male on the team), doesn't see it as much as a challenge as the girls. ;)

Praying: As we are making the final preparations to leave, we ask that you keep us in your prayers. Please pray for our safe travel, and for the people who we will come in contact with in Uganda-that God opens up their hearts to recieve His message.

Some verses that are very encouraging to us right now are:

Psalm 19:14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Exodus 33:14
The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

Thank you for all of your support!
